Drupal user group meet-up in Durban

We're hoping to start a Drupal user group in Durban early in 2015, likely first meeting being Wednesday the 11th of February 2015. If all goes to plan, a couple of Capetonians and a few Johanneburgers will come over for the fist meet-up and we'll continue to pop past a couple of times a year also inviting some Durbanites to then start joining us at the other national meet-ups.

Please invite anyone you think may be interested in upping their web game a bit! The community of Drupal is one of it's most prizes aspects. As they say, come for the code, stay for the community.

With the more long-term date set, I also hope to come past before then, in September. I'll add the let's-meet to the meetup.com account as soon as dates and a venue become more well known, but it will be a meet-and-greet, so coffee / beer evening. If it is well attended, who knows, the Durban meet-up may boostrap itself and start up even before our trek in February.

It's a good idea to invite even non-Drupal webshops and individuals, everyone Drupal- or web-curious should find the meet-ups very valuable. Seasoned developers learn how to set up their server environments for the enterprise, seriously speed up Drupal and work in larger teams, new entrants get to know the benefits of Drupal, when to use Drupal and how to build their own new Drupal site, even if not intending to build more than just the one site.
