Good afternoon,

I'm planning to post a Drupal event for the evening of July 28th (around 5:30 pm). Since it's the summer time, I was thinking it could be a slight twist on the usual Capital District Nosh and Connect (which we've been having monthly for the last 8 months - yay!). Instead of a set agenda I thought we might meet for some socializing and casual Drupal conversation in an outdoor setting.

I was thinking of Ryan's Wake in Troy - it's off of 787 and Rt 7, has parking and an outdoor deck - but would welcome suggestion, ideas, etc. So please chime in and share your summertime, social gathering thoughts.

Based on discussion I will post an official event early next week.

Thanks for your thoughts and have a terrific weekend!

Too early in the day for me

Too early in the day for me on a workday plus a hefty drive. I may make a late appearance. I hope all of the drupalers have been well. Cheers!

Too far

Troy is a bit out of the range, plus Ryan's Wake is super busy and noisy all the time. Hmm outside in Albany? I'm searching my brain... Wine Bar doesn't have an outside do they? Only other I know of is Hollywood Cafe, which is large, but can get noisy as well.

Now if you came to Hudson...

Sounds awesome

Just tell me when and where. I think this sounds like a nice change of pace for the group. Pick a place with WiFi?

Sounds great

I will be coming back from Lake Placid that Monday after doing Ironman on Sunday ... not sure what time I will be back and what shape i will be in, but hate to miss so will try to make it if I can.

Also, hate to suggest a non-downtown type of location, but there is a sports type restaurant/bar in East Greenbush right off of exit 9/rt 90 with a nice large outdoor deck with at least a great view of downtown Albany and surrounding area. Follow link for pic:

Hudson would be nice too!

I'll second East Greenbush as

I'll second East Greenbush as favorable (at least for me) over troy, probably easier if we have people coming up from Hudson as well. I can do Hudson as long as it's on a weekend.

It's been too long since I got my drupal on. Cheers.

The Sports Grill in East

Good morning all!

Thank you for all of the responses, it's terrific to hear so many thoughts. Public opinion seems to be leaning in the direction of The Sports Grill. I did call and they said they have wifi. I'll post an official event later today, but please keep the conversation going.

Best of luck in the Ironman Alison - that's awesome!

Warm regards,
Meredith
