Call for volunteers for promote Drupal at FOSSETCON in Orlando Sept 11-13

Mike,

As we discussed on IRC, I'm happy to help man the booth and do whatever else is needed to make this happen.

We're planning on having booth swag and will be paying the registration fee for anyone willing to help staff the booth (half-day shifts). We'll also be buying lunch for booth-folks as well.

What do you need to do to be qualified to help staff the booth? Be passionate about Drupal, of course! Be willing to tell people what Drupal is, potentially give them a walk-through, hand out candy and swag, and generally encourage people to get involved with Drupal.

I've been planning on going to this event on Saturday so If I'm needed I would love to help.

Who is coordinating the effort for the Drupal booth? Volunteer time slots, etc.

I am available to help with the booth on Friday and Saturday.

For those of you volunteering at the booth, some notes:

1. Entrance to Fossetcon is $10. Please purchase the ticket yourself, then I'll reimburse you in cash.
2. Wear something Drupal-y.
3. Feel free to bring business cards or company swag.
4. Bring your laptop, and load up a fresh copy of Drupal 7 for demos. I may bring my external monitor with me for demos, but I won't be leaving it there when I'm not there, so feel free to bring your own.
5. I'll be bringing a box of leftover DrupalCamp Florida bags to give away.
6. It would be great if someone who was going to be there tomorrow morning with me (Cielo, Deborah, hint hint) could create a one-page "flyer" with information about future Florida meetups, the https://groups.drupal.org/florida URL, and anything else that might be helpful. I'm booked the rest of the day and won't be able to get to it (sorry!)
7. Mike Herchel - do we have a booth number or anything like that? How about a contact person at the event?

I have Florida Drupal user information handout sheets I will bring Friday morning.

Thanks to everyone who volunteered. This was an exceptional conference.

We had a swag bag mixup on Saturday though. Mine had a blackmesh water bottle in it, and I think Michael Tripp's got picked up by accident as well.

There was a bag left at the end of the conference that had a polo shirt and a pair of sunglasses in it. I'm thinking this may be John Moore's. Please check your bags and see if you grabbed the correct one.
