Hope this is the right place to post this, any suggestions as to where else to post or how to resolve the problem will be much appreciated...
I've built a calendar using views/date/cck/calendar, demo version here:

The events show up for all views for authenticated users, but for anonymous users no events appear on the day view. It seems like it ought to be a permissions issue, given that the problem is between authenticated/anonymous users, but the events are being correctly pulled for the month and week views.

Getting the same problem with no solution so far.
User reports state that anonymous users should have Access Node permissions.
That already happens and nothing.
Events only show for anonymous when when I give them administer nodes, and this is unnaceptable.
Using views + cck events + calendar module + drupal 6.3.
Are you using CCK field permissions as well?
You may have set cck permissions so it's worth checking those as well
