The Drupal theme system is what controls the visual appearance of your site. This has always been a very powerful system, allowing frontend designers and developers to customize every aspect of the site.

In recent years, however, the tools and techniques used in frontend work have evolved significantly. And, so has the theme system itself in Drupal 8.

In this presentation, Marc Drummond will give an overview of theming in Drupal 8, using new fangled (and awesome!) frontend tools!

Marc is an active Drupal core contributor (maintainer of the core Breakpoint and Responsive Images modules in Drupal 8) and he's literally writing the book on theming in Drupal 8. :-)

Marc is from the Twin Cities and will be presenting virtually via Google Hangouts. This also means that it'll be possible (for the first time) to participate in the Meetup virtually! If you're interested, checkout the event on Google+.

The best food at a Meetup!

As always, Steve will bring some amazing home cookin'! We might not be the biggest Meetup, but we have the best food!

Bring your problems & successes:

Are you working on a Drupal site and hit a problem? Bring it to the meetup and we'll try to help you solve it!

Did you just create something awesome with Drupal? Or learn something cool? Show it off during a 5 minute lightning talk.

Hang out and co-work before the event (starting at 3pm)!

If you're available before the event, come hang out and co-work with us at Hudson Business Lounge (only a few blocks from C2): 310 E Buffalo St

Basically, we'll all be sitting around working on our own Drupal-related things. This is a great time to ask for in-depth help with something or just see what everyone else is doing with Drupal.
