The Hong Kong Drupal User Group is open to everyone with an interest in Drupal and are a great opportunity to learn more about what Drupal can do and what folks are building with it.

  • 12:20 ~ 13:30: Lunch. We will order pizza.
  • 13:30 ~ 14:30: Open sharing section. Confirm logistics of next DrupalCamp.

Couple of questions

Hi @xyzhu4b,

Thanks very much for putting together this event and sharing the presentations on GDO.

I just had a couple of questions:
- In what language are carried the trainings and presentations? Cantonese or English? Do you usually have foreigners attending the events?
- How is this event different from the one planned on November 8th: DrupalCamp Hong Kong - November 8th? Is the DrupalHK community planning on organizing DrupalCamp events every month?

I liked very much the way you allow the community to vote for different training topics, that's probably something we might want to look into as well for our local community.

We are certainly delighted to see the DrupalHK community being so active, holding regular gatherings with great content, to share trainings and experiences.
We will surely keep a friendly eye on following events.

Thanks a lot for your appreciation! We're glad to see more and more people keeping an eye on DrupalHK community. : )

Let me answer you the questions:
-YES, We always have foreigners attending our events. The presentations would be in English even if only one foreigner joined. All PPT is in English. After all in DrupalHK community, our common language is Drupal !

-Yes, they're the same. We have organized the monthly event called DrupalCamp Hong kong for almost one year. The topics for each month are voted by participants and people can also propose the topics.

Hi Monica,

Thanks a lot for your prompt, clear and kind replies.

I really wish I could make it to Hong Kong for the next DrupalCamp on Nov 8th, but I'm afraid this is probably something I will have to plan for next year perhaps (since I'm currently based in Shanghai)...
But I have been following with a great interest the activity in the DrupalHK DUG and wanted to support the spirit with which you had been sharing, contributing or building your local community.

Hopefully, we might find some opportunities to team up on the organization of certain events down the road.

Thanks again very much for your great contributions and involvement in the Drupal community.
