I've been thinking about setting up some free Drupal training in Prague, I'm open to starting dates however I think the trainings will be a mixture of monthly pub hangouts (one with a projector, beer and internet) and online Google hangouts.
The Drupal mentoring/training would be aimed at people who want to get up to speed very quickly with current Drupal "best practices" or "common practices" for site building.
I'de like to basically share my experience of working in successful site building teams, divided into basic analyses, theming and site building
So what I was thinking is that the group could build together a few 'demo' or 'practice' websites where everyone can have the opportunity to try different roles of the project
So generally I think that the training/mentoring should cover
- Planning the major parts of the website, content types etc
- Common build techniques (modules like Context, Beans, Entities etc)
- Theming and theming issues ( Omega.. responsive )
- Basic Git workflow
- Quick wins for theming
What's the thoughts out there? Probably I would expect that everyone can atleast get a basic WAMP or LAMP installation working locally of Drupal, tho we could use a remote server too
At this stage it's just an idea, so let me know! I speak some Czech but mostly it would be English
more people the better, there is nothing official about this other than I think it would be good fun and maybe I will learn something from you aswell!

Quite good idea! Definitely
Quite good idea! Definitely let me know, I would like to participate too.
I can prepare some real-world practices from our company.
Also we can get more people excited and make some meetup mailing list.

Sounds great! Yeah I am
Sounds great! Yeah I am thinking something similar, let's get people building something that could be real - using very real resources.
I have a few friends in Prague who wish to join, so let's see how it goes! Would be great to find some more people to join
