Actually, what I need is for it to be easy for GitHub users to request to be in a GitHub organisation. Then we wouldn't need any of this particular thread. Would having a GitHub field in d.o help this use case? Not sure. Anyway, I'm added you.
Anyway, to your question, not exactly sure yet what will be developed on GitHub. Note I am not a developer. I'm just the motivator! But asking my colleague (iAugur sitting next to me at the DrupalCon sprint) seems like we will be defining a skeletal framework with namespaces and aiming to demonstrate an end to end use case. I'm sure there are other things.
I'm just working on posting the minutes of yesterdays BoF.
