Hi,
I will be speaking at DrupalCamp Delhi and at a Drupal Meet up in Mumbai during my site visit. I am very interested in highlighting Indian community members who found Drupal, got involved, and are contributing back to the community. Can you tell me who you recommend and can you put me in touch with that person? I'd love to talk to them and get their story.

Will share Drupal Mumbai Story

I will share a report on Drupal Mumbai which will have a detailed information on how this community grew, activities we do , Initiatives we are planning and culture we are building. I hope it will help.
You may want to reach out to following Drupalers - Tanay Sai, he is active in Drupal Bangalore community. Gobinath, Ani from Drupal Mumbai community. Dipen Chaudhary, Prafful Nagwani -lead the Pune Community. Vijay Chandra Mani - very active in community, Core contributor in Drupal 8.

Drupal Bangalore Story
Here is the story of Drupal Bangalore Community:
It all started with AnilSagar and This Meetup in May 2010.
The initiative was well supported by Naren, Sumeet Pareek and Arjun Raj.
And they continued to organize few more meetups and then came Drupal 7 Release Party in Jan 2011 where Chakrapani joined the group!
Chakrapani and AnilSagar continued to organize meetups and trainings at a slower pace. Then Gokul NK joined the party in Nov 2011.
After which Gokul NK and Chakrapani continued to organize and host meetups, trainings and code sprints regularly on last saturday of every month.
Starting in late 2012 Safwan Erooth has conducted number of Drupal trainings as part of Global Drupal Training Days.
In Sep 2012, Sai Tanay moved to bangalore and became part of the community.
Sai tanay has organized couple of Drupal meetups/trainings and organized a Drupal Minicamp in Sep 2013. And was a regular attendee of all Drupal meetups in 2013.
Gokul Nk and Chakrapani continued to organize regular(monthly) Meetups, Trainings and Code Sprints through out 2014. They together organized 30+ events by 2014.
During all the years there was Hussain who used to attend almost every Meetup in Bangalore and then started speaking at the meetups..and now a active member of the organizing team.
Hussain and Chakrapani represented Bangalore for helping out Drupal Association with the feasibility study for hosting a Drupal Con India - 2016.
After couple of failed attemps to organize Drupal Camps in 2013 and 2014, Chakrapani, Gokul and Hussain together organized a Drupal Minicamp in Nov 2014.
Current Active folk: Chakrapani, Hussain and Gokul.
We hope to see more people joining the community and spreading the wings of Drupal Bangalore Community.
