The British Trust for Ornithology is seeking a versatile and enthusiastic coder to evolve its public-facing Drupal website.

The successful applicant will have experience building, deploying and maintaining Drupal websites, and be well-versed in customising functionality with PHP and Javascript code, with a good understanding of HTML and CSS. Experience in building web services and developing communication between PHP CMS systems and other platforms would be an advantage.

The British Trust for Ornithology (BTO) is seeking an enthusiastic coder to evolve our public-facing Drupal website.

This new post offers an exciting range of challenges and the opportunity to develop technical skills in a friendly, dynamic and supportive environment.

The successful applicant will have a grounding in coding for the web (PHP, Javascript), ideally with some experience of building and customising PHP-based content management systems. He or she will have an understanding of HTML and CSS and be comfortable working in a Linux and Windows environment. Experience with Drupal and an interest in science and the environment would be an advantage.

Whilst we would like to fill this role as soon as possible, we would be willing to delay the start date for the right candidate.
