Drupal 8 is currently in beta, meaning a final release is coming soon! There’s no better time than now to get a head start and begin preparing for its inevitable launch.
This talk will feature live demonstrations of the most important highlights of Drupal 8. You’ll learn about the most important new features that will benefit developers, themers, content administrators, site builders, marketers and more. We'll also review Drupal 8 development tools, including Drupal Console.
The talk is by Chris Luckhardt, whom some of you have met during last month's session. Chris is a Toronto-based Drupal Specialist. He has worked with Drupal for more than 7 years and currently specializes in technical architecture, front-end development, content strategy, dev ops, site building, project management and community building. He provides leadership and event organizational time to the DrupalTO community and gives presentations around the world focusing on the upcoming release of Drupal 8. Chris was recently profiled by the Drupal Association as a Drupal Master in their Drupal Personas series.
As usual, the group meets on the third Thursday of every month (except for July, August and December) on 19:00 to 21:00. Our usual long time venue is: The Working Centre at 58 Queen St. S. Kitchener, Ontario.
