Waterloo Region Drupal Users Group

A group for Drupal users in southern Ontario, mainly from Kitchener, Waterloo, as well as Cambridge, Guelph and surrounding areas.

Who

All Drupal enthusiasts are welcome to join us for discussion and demonstration of topics for beginners and beyond.

What

Topics range from implementation examples and demonstrations to tutorials and workshops to round-tables, question and answers and panel discussions.

When

Meetings are held monthly, except for July, August and December. Attendance is free. We meet on the third Thursday of each month, from 19:00 to 21:00.

Where

The meetings are held at The Working Centre which is located at 58 Queen St. S. Kitchener, Ontario.

Note that there are two addresses with "The Working Centre" sign on them. Be sure to go to 58 and not the other one.

Here is a map of the location:

How

If you are driving to Kitchener, there are a few free and low cost parking spots nearby after 6 pm, usually limited to 2 hours. You can check those in Parkopedia. Make sure you enter the correct time to get the proper parking rates.

If you prefer public transportation, the Charles Street Bus Terminal and Light Rail are very close to the venue, at Charles St, and Ontario St.

Presentation needed for Oct 20

Khalid is out of the country for a while, and we don't have October's presentation finalized yet.

It is possible that Nik will present his ticketing system for Drupal, but this has not been confirmed. Would somebody in the group be willing to show us something for October? It does not have to be a polished or fancy presentation -- showing off a site you developed or a module you worked on would be just fine. If Nik confirms then that will be a fine presentation, but it would be nice to have a backup plan.

The date of the next meeting is Thursday, Oct 20, at 7pm, in downtown Kitchener.
