Presentation
Launched in 2011 by Google, Yahoo! and Bing, Schema.org is a universal collection of schemas to describe the content in HTML. It helps search engines to better understand what the pages of your sites are about (e.g. recipe, news article, blog post) and what kind of information a particular div element contain (title, headline, picture of the author, or body of an article). Once they're able to break down the information of your web pages, search engines are able to provide richer experience to end users. For example, Rich Snippets offer more attractive results on SERPs which usually brings more traffic to your site.
This session will show:
- what is schema.org
- how to set up schema.org on Drupal 7 using the schema.org module
- what kind of support will Drupal 8 have for schema.org
- what other feature can schema.org provide

About The Speaker
Corlosquet has been a driving force in incorporating Semantic Web capabilities into the core of the Drupal Content Management System . He has contributed to Drupal 6 and Drupal 7 core. He is the maintainer the RDF module in Drupal 7, and is a member of the Drupal security team . Since joining the community in 2005, he has been a speaker at many DrupalCons and DrupalCamps in Europe, North America and Latin America, mostly on the topic of Drupal and the Semantic Web.
