We The People Of The World.org is trying to build its website using Drupal, but needs help--a lot of help.
We The People Of The World, Inc. is a Washington, DC non-profit, 501c3 startup organization whose objectives are to identify problems of our world, such as destruction of environment, crimes to humanity, and injustices that are devastating billions of helpless people every second and are exponentially pushing our world to unthinkable states of irreversible disasters. And to get help from people of the world to identify problems locally and globally, discuss those problems, find their true causes, find solutions, and help with implementing those solutions: first through online discussions/forums, online tools, and education, and then through actually lending hands and resources.
If you are a Drupal developer, and are genuinely troubled by the injustices that are happening to the most vulnerable members of our global family, all the wars and exponential destruction of our environment, and the disasters that you don't want to see happening to you but are happening to hundreds of millions of innocent people and will eventually happen to all of us with no turning back, then please join us and help build the website and its features. This is a website for the world, that wants to also promote and educate people to start becoming true humans as the most effective solution to most, if not all of our non-natural problems--by helping people to fully abide by the Golden Rule as the first step, meaning not doing to others, directly or indirectly, what we don't want others do to us, regardless of what their inherited and formed beliefs and values, or other personal preferences tell them they must do or not do.
Mission statement of the organization and the initial plan for the website and its features will be posted once this group becomes operational.
Would you be interested in helping to build the site? And being a member of the Website's Development and Maintenance Supervisory Group? If yes, please post a response and mention the areas that you are willing to help with the development.

But now that there are others who are interested in joining this initiative, I am going to post those information for everyone to see. but my free time is VERY limited.
If you can attract volunteers I can mentor or coordinate them to facilitate progress.
Imagine that - volunteer for a good cause, improve your Drupal skills and as you get better at it you might become a candidate I would recommend for a job or provide a reference for.

Potential for Debug Academy's class to help this October
Debug Academy ( http://debugacademy.com ) is an in person drupal development class in the greater Washington DC area. We train individuals of any level of experience to become drupal developers over 3 months by working on real projects, led by a senior developer from Acquia. The next class is this October until the end of December (applications are still being accepted at debugacademy.com ).
Please fill out the 'seeking investment' form on debugsociety.com (http://debugsociety.com/invest ) and mention debug academy if you'd like your website to be considered for our class project from October - end of December. Keep in mind that not all fields on the form are appropriate for every project.

How to do SSH to our Acquia site?
Our Acquia site is up and I passed on the access information to Charles.
Can anyone show me how to do SSH to an Acquia site? I used our site address wethepeopleoftheworldzuerh3nclh.devcloud.acquia-sites.com as the only address that I have, but obviously can't connect.

Working together on Acquia Cloud?
Per Charles instructions, we are going to build the site on Acquia Cloud. For the past couple of days I have been trying to set up our AC account and make SSH connection. Since I am brand new to Drupal (about a month or so) and Acquia, this has been a slow process, but at this time it looks like the above are established and I have already learned much: http://wethepeopleoftheworldzuerh3nclh.devcloud.acquia-sites.com
Charles also suggested to use Skeleton theme (https://www.drupal.org/project/skeletontheme). After looking around (and downloading Skeleton to our AC using Drush) I see the steps for adding a new theme to AC are different than local Drupal theme installation. And if I wanted to do this (by using Git, etc.) this would continue to be a slow process.
While Charles is doing the planning to assign tasks to us, I was wondering if we could now start our teamwork by starting to get the site prepared, synchronizing our DevDesktop installations with the site, and so forth, so we can start development when we begin receiving our tasks from Charles. And I will do my best to learn from all of you so I too can be more productive.
Anyone would like to start our preparation process?

Posting Organization's Mission, Strategy, and other information
The first set of content that need to go on the site are obviously organization's mission statement, strategies, and other information. That way we and others can learn more about the organization's initial purpose, and improve those together as we go. Naturally those information essential for planning for the structure, features and activities of the site. Therefore, the sooner we can get the site in working condition, the sooner we will be able to start our brainstorming and generating new ideas on how to improve the concepts, features, and effectiveness of the site.
