There's recently been a few posts (and a new website!) announcing the next round of the UK Drupal Apprenticeship and we now have a recognised curriculum and qualification specific to Drupal for the apprentices to follow.

For anyone wondering about starting something up in their area, Happy Computers (who run the 'UK Drupal Apprenticeship') can put something together in other cities in the UK if there is demand.
And I've been working on getting the training materials we're using in better shape for others to use (here's a work-in-progress: http://opendrupal.github.io/)

Drupal Apprenticeship is great!
For the last 3 years the Drupal Apprenticeship programme has been incredibly useful for us at Code Positive and for the apprentices we have taken on and eventually hired full time.
One of our Drupal Apprentices has written about her experiences with the programme.
