August is a great time to build our Drupal skills! Come down on August 19th to our awesome spot at LaunchPad in Huntington and level up your web development skills with Drupal!
There are two core topics I'd like pose to the group. If anyone has any other topics we are more then open:

Headless Drupal - With all the increased energy around building front ends out side of Drupal and using the Drupals powerful content modeling for the backend. I think it would be beneficial to explore a few ways we can accomplish this.

Back to the Basics - I tend to want to dive into the technical deep end BUT we haven't stepped back and reviewed some of the basics of the Drupal CMS in a while. These are basic ideas that span versions of Drupal and provide a solid understanding how solutions fit together with the CMS.

We had a good meetup last
We had a good meetup last night! We explored a few very interesting topics. I am always enamored by the topics we organically explore during the time we spend together!
Just a quick recap... we took a look a the following:

A really interesting set of modules for working with genetic and other bioinformatics data in Drupal. I am looking forward to hearing more about this. Possibly have a talk on this in future meetups.
We also had a talk on Drupal Commerce Tax calculations. Excellent presentation regarding a custom module to use the Google Maps API to extract the correct tax rates by administrative zone of a Commerce order. I hope to see this released as a contrib module in the future!
Next month I am thinking we do something a little bit different. A destination meetup, maybe at a park and have a small BBQ. An end of summer Drupal bash! I am tentatively targeting Sept 19th and am open on the destination. Any ideas are welcome!
