Front End Developer

BuzzMaker is a Democratic political consulting firm specializing in eCampaign management, online advertising and international campaigns. Our clients include gubernatorial campaigns, U.S. Senate campaigns, international political parties and advocacy organizations. We are seeking a contract Front-End Drupal Developer to build out websites for political campaigns and organizations.

The Front-End Drupal Developer will be responsible for taking websites from PSD to a fully functioning Drupal site, including theming, choosing contributed modules, and site building.

Qualifications:

  • An understanding of how to set up site architecture to make updating a website easy for end-users;
  • Expert HTML, CSS, and Javascript/JQuery knowledge;
  • Understanding of cross-browser testing and how to make designs degrade across browsers;
  • Knowledge of how to build Drupal themes from scratch, including editing tpl.php files;
  • Conceptual understanding of responsive design and how to implement it on a Drupal installation (experience is a plus);
  • Expert-level understanding of views;
  • Ability to choose contributed modules to implement on a website in order to accomplish what the client needs;
  • Module development experience is not required, but is a plus;
  • Ability to meet deadlines;
  • Interest in progressive politics;
  • Strong communication skills.
