As many of you know, we now have an official release date for Drupal 8. It's currently scheduled for November 19th and folks (all over the world) are getting ready to party!

Some folks in the Twin Cities (especially Chris Weber) are anxious to plan our own Twin Cities Drupal 8 release party - and preliminary preparations are already underway. But, we'd like to hear from the community:
1) How big should we make this? Will you be coming? Is this something that you might want to invite friends and/or clients to?
2) Thursday Nov. 19th or Fri Nov. 20th?
3) Should there be presentations? Do you think we should have a short introduction to Drupal 8 presentation - or should we just celebrate and socialize? What would make this interesting to you?
4) Venue ideas? Our focus right now is not checking to see if Intermedia Arts is available. But, we're open to other ideas (something at the University of MN)? What should we be looking for in a venue?
Currently, my own thinking is that we should find a venue with flexible space for:
a) Socializing over appetizers and beverages
b) A screen and seating to accommodate a short "Welcome to Drupal 8" presentation and maybe a few Drupal 8 lightning talks.
c) Able to accommodate a total 20-40 people (we'll have a better idea of how many are coming after people reply to this message)
Looking forward to hearing from everyone AND seeing everyone on Nov 19 or 20th?
Tim

I can't imagine not have the party on the day it is released

Let's not have presentations
There will be plenty of time for that at future meetups and play dates.
