More about Seed Artist Alliance
The Mission of Seed is to support the growth and artistic integrity of Central Florida visual, performing and craft artists by promoting involvement in artistic endeavors, by providing education and exposure for artists, and identifying venues to display work. Through cooperation and communication, Seed members work toward common goals, encourage fair practices, and create visibility for artists in the Central Florida Community.
one goal of the site is to have reviews of local venues by artists for artists, not patrons. e.g. did the venue pay you in a timely fashion, if at all? What kind of art does the curator like? etc.
Target Market/Community: We are targeting the arts community and supporters of the arts. We are also endeavoring to provide an outreach art program to at risk children living in homeless shelters and/or transition environments. We are currently collecting art supplies for this cause.
Membership Based. How Many Members? 56 members on facebook, developing a membership process
each member must be vetted by 2 existing members
Current URL: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=205627267408
What are the issues/current shortfalls of your current site? The facebook page cannot convey everything we are doing in an affective manner. Also, it can only be accessed by those on facebook and is not easy to find.
Value based on publicly available information and detailed content types
What is your vision for your next web site? The new web site would help us achieve more exposure in the Orlando community, both for artists and for art patrons. We could showcase venues and have a clear method for artists to find and show work. We could also expand upon our philanthropic goals for art education to at risk children.
The biggest draw to end-users will be the directory of venues and the Call for Artists events, telling when Artists should submit their work to an upcoming show.
Why should your organization be the one we select for Coding for a Cause? We are a new organization, but are growing every day and have the leadership and motivation of some of the most active leaders in our local art community. This organization is vital to continuing the growth of the artistic community for both established and blossoming artists.
