I was talking to Gregory Heller about the latest Earth Hour module we've released and he suggested posting it here in this group. Totally happy he did as I'd overlooked it.
So this is a little module which I cloned last year from a WordPress plugin that raises awareness about Earth Hour and then disables your site for an hour in solidarity. It's a simple little symbolic measure that webmasters can do to show support for the Earth Hour initiative.
I'd like to encourage other folks to show support for this awareness raising effort and see it being used on more sites.
I'm also hoping to engage with campaigns who might want to have a similar tool developed to raise awareness about their issue.
