IPMA Forum Presentation

We encourage users to post events happening in the community to the community events group on https://www.drupal.org.

IPMA is calling for proposals for the 2016 forum. We (PDC) are not far enough along to really do something on our own. I was just wondering if anyone might be interested in something like "Drupal success stories" or perhaps a panel on how Drupal has changed content management, accelerated development, etc. Perhaps even a chance to advertise the work of the Oly group?

Subject: Call for Presentation Proposals - 2016 IPMA Forum

The 2016 IPMA Forum planning committee is now accepting proposals for speaker presentations at this year’s Forum. This is an excellent opportunity for State government to showcase its innovations and accomplishments, to share IT and/or business solutions, or to discuss important topics.

The 2016 Forum is May 17th and 18th at Saint Martin’s University in Lacey, Washington. The presentations are 60 minutes in length. Here are some of the topics that the Committee is hoping to include in the Forum program:

• Security – Breaches, Enhancement Tools
• Cloud Solutions
• Legacy Applications - Modernization/Renovation
• Data – Business Intelligence, Data Management, Big Data, Analytics, Open Data
• Information Exchanges - Health, Justice, Transportation, Environmental
• Identity and Access Management - technologies and solutions
• Mobile Workforce - technologies and solutions
• Document/Content/Records/E-mail Management - technologies and solutions
• Workforce – Workforce of the Future, Succession Planning, Recruiting and Retention
• Lean / Agile
• Business Analysis
• Vendor Management - Procurement and Contracting
• Project and Portfolio Management

We encourage you to also think about opportunities to partner with other organizations or the vendor community when considering a proposal, and also to evaluate the option of multiple speakers or a panel/moderator presentation format.

Please respond to this message with your proposal and provide the following items:

  1. Presentation Topic/Title:
  2. The number and roles of potential presenters/speakers: IT staff, Project staff, Business staff, Program staff, Managers, Executives, vendors, solution providers, etc.
  3. Presentation Description: 1 to 2 paragraphs describing the contents of your proposed presentation.

Please submit your proposal by January 15th, 2016. The committee will complete its review of the proposals by late January, 2016. Let me know if you have any questions or need additional information.

Thanks

Allen Schmidt
