Hi everybody, I'm a Drupal developer for about 6/7 years now and I'm planning on moving to Capetown very soon. I was wondering if I could get anybody's advice on the best places for fast internet. (Residential and Commercial)
I know where I've worked from in the past, it's been the difference of night and day depending on the little pockets of a particularly city that are wired with better connections.
Is there any decent way to research this before my move? I've looked at the coverage charts for the internet providers but I'm not sure if those are really trustworthy.
I'm excited to meet some new faces at the meetups as well.

Have a look at http://www.telkom.co.za/coverage/ and under 'Select Technology' look at either Fibre or LTE.
I work remotely, and so am heavily dependent on reliable internet. I've been really happy using LTE, and though I would've preferred to avoid Telkom, they do have the best LTE prices by quite a margin currently. I have ADSL as a backup, though have only needed to use it once in the last 4 months - I'm not sure if that will change during the Cape Town winter, as I guess LTE may be more susceptible to weather conditions.
I've been considering using Fibre as it is available in my area, but it seems that most Fibre providers are still charging silly prices for it, so I'll rather wait some time for prices to settle to reasonable levels.
Welcome to Cape Town!
