Idaho Legal Aid Services seeks proposals for 3 Drupal-oriented projects

Idaho Legal Aid Services has received a technology initiative grant (TIG) through the Legal Services Corporation now through December 2017 to provide training, support, to create one custom module (see RFP II) and to put on a hackathon as part of the January 2017 LSC TIG conference and is seeking proposals for various parts of the grant (RFP I, RFP II, and RFP III).

This grant grew out of the many states using Drupal for their statewide legal services websites to help facilitate sharing of code and expertise across the community. See ptla.org and http://www.idaholegalaid.org/ as examples.

Trainings will be done in conjunction with the Legal Services National Technology Assistance Project (LSNTAP) using their online meeting and will be recorded, posted to YouTube, and embedded on LSNTAP.org.

RFP I
Training Webinars
Deliver three 90minute specialized training webinars on advanced Drupal
Development topics presented by seasoned Drupal experts. Topics to be decided by ILAS
based on legal services community needs.
● Assist ILAS in engaging community to determine Drupal topics
● Schedule webinars, including participant signup form
● Prepare webinar materials
● Deliver three webinars

TIG Conference Drupal Hackathon
Work with ILAS to plan and run a Drupal hackathon at the TIG conference.
Includes 3months of planning and participation by two Drupal experts in a one day
hackathon.
● Assist ILAS in engaging community to determine Drupal topics for Hackathon
● Prepare Drupal Hackathon plan
● Present and refine Drupal Hackathon plan
● Run Drupal Hackathon
● Participation of two Drupal experts at the Drupal Hackathon
Drupal Consulting
Provide on demand, web based technical support for the legal services
Community
● Provide Drupal consulting and support services for 24 months, through Dec 31, 2017 up
to a total of 160 hours.
● Respond to qualified technical support requests within 16 business hours

RFP II
Develop a content analysis module in Drupal that will evaluate legal content for the purpose of quality assurance. This module requires taking input from the legal aid community running statewide websites on the Drupal platform and should be written to work in Drupal 7.

RFP III
Provide 48 hours of mentoring to new Drupal developers or site administrators within the legal aid
community.
24 hours of planning and participation in the Drupal Hackathon at TIG 2017
48 hours planning and presenting 4 LSNTAP Drupal trainings.
