Hi Everyone,

Come and join us for our next Drupal Show and Tell! It's a great opportunity to learn and listen to the interesting talks we have lined up for you as well as a chance to mingle and meet new people within the Drupal World.

For people who don't know the format, at 6.30pm we meet the Clarence Centre in a room generously lent to us by South Bank University. Tea, coffee and sandwiches will be provided and then we'll head over to the Duke of York on Borough Road for a few beers and more Drupal chat.

On the night we will also be giving away 2 free ebooks from Packt Publishing, so come along for your chance to WIN!

If you are interested in attending, please do sign up and RSVP.

The talks we have confirmed so far are:

Talk: Case Study on Creative Carers a membership association website for carers

Speaker: Chandeep Khosa, Imagine Creativity

" The talk will focus on how to build an activity booking system with Entity Registration module, handling recurring dates with Date Repeat Entity module and handling different roles. Chandeep will also go through building the registration form with Profile2 and importing users with User Import. There will also be a demonstration of how the site section colour was changed with Contexts, and overrode default functionality with String Overrides & Better Exposed Filters".

Talk: The Drupal Elephant in the Room: We need to get better at UX

Speaker: Keith Jay, Director & Lizzie Hodgson, Strategist, Five Mile Agency

"Following on from their DrupalCamp London talk "The Drupal Elephant in the Room: We need to get better at UX" Five Mile Agency director Keith Jay and strategist Lizzie Hodgson will deliver an updated version of the presentation, drawing on a few examples of how the Drupal community is responding to the issues touched upon in the original talk".

Talk: Improving websites for users with poor network connectivity, using new browser APIs

Speaker: Erik Erskine

"Offline capability is an area where the web is playing catchup with native apps. But with browsers starting to include APIs to control of how they interact with the network, we now have possibilities for enhance our websites when under sub-par network conditions. I'll give an brief introduction to what these APIs do and how you might use them. We'll then look at an example Drupal site and consider how we might improve it for users with sketchy mobile signals or dodgy wifi".

If you'd like to speak at this event or a future one, please do get in touch. The only criteria is that your talk is on the topic of Drupal and not a sales pitch, so plenty of scope for you there!

Looking forward to seeing you there!

All the best
