What is it all about?

This is a meet-up and code sprint for the Drupal community in Delhi to come together every last Saturday of the month and talk about the latest in Drupal, with a couple of sessions planned we intend to share with each other what we have implemented and how was it done.

This is also an opportunity for us to sit together and contribute to the community by working on modules and issues.

We start with a few short sessions - speakers TBD, if you would like to submit a session that would benefit the community, please comment below. Here are the sessions submitted as of now:

Session 1: D8 services and Plugins By Gauravjeet

Session 2: Multilingual capacity in D8 and provide a hands on, on creating a multilingual site in D8 By Vaibhav Jain

Session 3: How to increase my Productivity By Mridula Harshvardhan

Session 4: State of Workflow Initiative in Core By Naveen Valecha

This will be a full day of practice/learning where we will all collaborate, learn and raise our skill level with experienced D8 developers and Drupal rockstars.

Who should attend?

This is for anyone working on Drupal; beginners and experts are all welcome.

Why do we do this?

After a very successful global code sprint, we decided to keep the momentum going, It's is not often that one can find time to fix issues so here is your chance to work closely with a lot of Drupal rockstars who will lead the sprint at all thee of our locations; to ensure that you get to learn and make the most out of this Sprint, we will also have a session. (Topic to be updated.)

Have you made any contribution to Drupal 8? Or want to upgrade module to Drupal 8. This is the best time to do this. For the Drupal Sprint you're welcome to join us on the Saturday, 17th Dec, 2016.

I want to present a session on Productivity

Mridula's picture

Being productive is a choice, but most of us see it as a have to, if we aren't productive company will throw us out. Or as a should, if we are not productive, we will not grow. All is true, but the moment have to and should comes, the choice is gone for a toss, and we are in a driven state of mind. And if anything goes wrong we are ready with our fingers to point at somebody else.
Basically choice comes from responsibility, but most of us hear Blame in background when the word responsibility fall on our ear. Either we are avoiding blame or taking blame. zero responsibility, hence zero choice, henceforth all the have tos and shoulds.
Leaving productivity to chance not choice.

What would happen if you don't 'have to' be productive instead you could choose your productivity. Would you choose low productivity or high productivity?
I will discuss this and many more dimensions of how Chance makes us powerless and Choice can Empower us, in the session
