Greetings everyone,
I intend to write or submit an article to the National Library and the Jamaican ISIS group newsletter about Drupal and using Drupal as the interface to its online catalogue.
For those of you who want background on that group see the following newsletter:
http://www.nlj.gov.jm/NLJ/files/u1/Jamisis_Newsletter_2008.pdf
I searched for the library Drupal module for online library catalogue. It is called SOPAC. See http://drupal.org/project/sopac
I would like to partner with some one who has more technical expertise in creating a wiki to write the article that I intend to submit to the JamISIS newsletter. Also I hope to get a presentation slot at the National Library of Jamaica's seminar or session on the plans for the National Catalogue.
Currently the National Library has their new website on Drupal, but they have not yet migrated their online catalogue.
In addition, the current site is still not technically sound. Sometimes as I view it, I get the message that "DNS Error - Server cannot be found" or "Cannot find http://nlj.gov.jm/".
