Hi all. The Committee had or monthly meeting today. After a short summer break we kept talking mainly about the forthcoming DrupalCamp Dublin:

-1-

Promotion so far has been mostly about distributing stickers ant various Camps, Conferences and Meetups both in Ireland and abroad.

We will promote Drupal Camp Dublin as much as we can at DrupalCon Vienna. By then we will have a final schedule and an updated website.

-2-

We are going to contact Universities to promote our event as well as keeping our regular tweets from the Drupal Ireland account

-3-

We have set a deadline to submitting sessions: Friday the 1st of September @ 5pm in order to have final schedule ready for promotion.

http://2017.drupal.ie/sessions has now a list of proposed sessions.

-4-

The Committee talked about the possibility of having a sign language translator. We haven't had sign language before for our events, but it would be great to have it. As a non-profit community group, and as things currently stand, this is outside our budget for this event. However, we'd like to be as inclusive as possible and are looking for sponsorship from various organisations at present.

-5-

We also discussed the possibility of reimbursing expenses for out of the country sessions and agreed that as a small volunteer-led non-profit we are not in a financial position to fund travel or expenses for speakers.

-6-

The Committee will be meeting weekly from now on until the Camp takes place on 20th & 21st October 2017. Next meeting will be talking about sponsorship.
