Join our monthly meeting of the Waterloo Region Drupal User Group meetup.

Date: Thursday, November 16th, 2017
Time: 19:00 to 21:00
Location: The Working Centre, 58 Queen Street S., Kitchener

For our November meeting, the speaker is Eric Bremner from the University of Waterloo. Eric has been the lead developer on the UWaterloo Scholar project. With the project nearly complete, Eric can now share with us all the success of this project. Open Scholar is a Drupal website builder application designed for academics and academic institutions. It allows end users to create a full featured dynamic website on the fly. Open Scholar was designed by Harvard University and the University of Waterloo has adopted it to create UWaterloo Scholar.

During our meeting Eric will provide:

  • An overview of Open Scholar and UW’s implementation of it.
  • The trials and tribulations of having a UW implementation.
  • A full demo of the UWaterloo Scholar site will also be displayed.

Meetings for the Waterloo Region Drupal Users Group happen on the third Thursday of each month (except for July, August and December). The meetings are held at The Working Centre, at 58 Queen Street South in Kitchener, between 19:00 and 21:00.

If you have a Drupal related topic, or showcasing a web site or a module that you built with Drupal, please contact us, and we will arrange for a talk.
