Hi folks,
I was about to schedule our May meeting, but I looked at my calendar and I cannot make our usual meeting time, which would be Thursday, May 10, 10 AM to Noon.
Options:
a) Someone else could lead the meeting, and we could have it on the normal day.
b) I am available to lead the meeting if we do it a week later, on May 17.
Thoughts? Volunteers? I could probably get the projector to whoever wants to lead the meeting, if necessary, and I can reserve the room and post the meeting notice...

Hello, I'm new to the group. I've added my best meeting times on the wiki. I'm curious why the monthly meetings are held during business hours vs the hours on the wiki. I'd like to participate, however business hours would be nearly impossible for my attendance.

Hi there! I don't know much about the history of the group previous to 2011, when I moved to the area. At that time, I started organizing some meetings in the evenings, but there wasn't very good attendance.
After about a year of trying that format, it became clear that for the few people who were attending the meetings regularly (there were only 4 people, including me, who came more than once or twice), during the day was a much better time than evenings, which were problematic for all of us. So, we switched to having our meetings during the day. That core group is still coming, and has expanded by a few people since then, and daytime still works better for us than evenings. I'm sorry that it doesn't work for you.
Regarding the wiki, that was started a long time ago, and it hasn't been updated much since around 2012. Also, although quite a few people put entries on the page, even when the meeting time was adjusted to hopefully fit people's schedules better, this didn't actually result in more people showing up. Anyway, I just edited the group welcome message and the wiki page to make that clearer. Sorry for the confusion!
