Last night, we had a great discussion with Adam G-H (@phenaproxima) from Acquia about Lightning. But what about next time?
We'd like to start getting together quarterly for now, so the next event is slated for Feb 19 or 20 (either the Tuesday or Wednesday).
Suggestions that came up during the meeting:
UX design
- this might appeal to more than just Drupal people, too
Microservices
- again, depending on how this is presented, it could also be relevant to those outside of Drupal

Wednesday works best for me. I would think we could maybe set a time limit for talks to say 15 mins and a 15 min discussion session unless we want to dedicate an entire time to one subject?

UX Design
I have an experience to share about enhancing a featurized content type, converting to a module, with ReactJS component(s) unobtrusively integrated into it to enhance the UX.
I may be able to turn that into a demo Enhancing UX with ReactJS in Drupal:
- building a React component
- webpack
- babel
- jsoneditoronline
- featurized content type
- hook that inserts react component into feature module
- feature module works with or without ReactJS component
Let me know if interested so I can start to prepare for next meet up.

I am fairly new to Omaha and have some experience with Drupal. Is this group open to newbies or only for advanced Drupalers? I would say I am kind of middle range experienced & interested in attending.

Open to Drupalers of all stripes
We have a diverse group of people who have attended, from those with many years of Drupal experience to those with none. If you are interested, it would be great to have you. The last couple times, we've met at Creighton University, which is on the north side of Downtown Omaha.
Tuesdays
March 5 and 12 look great to me, but March 19 is the eve (not to say the ides) of MidCamp in Chicago. Is anyone going to MidCamp and looking to carpool? If not, I'll look into MegaBus.
I'm also new to Omaha and could present on using Migrate module to import data from various sources into various entities, which is my specialty.
Midcamp
Unfortunately, MidCamp is in the middle of family birthdays, so I would be persona non grata around the house if I were in Chicago for this. I would very much like to go, otherwise. There's also Flyover Camp in June in KC: https://www.flyovercamp.org
I'm thinking of this instead.
Of course, there's DrupalCon in Seattle, which is ... pricey.

It sounds like @BenStallings and @rsweenie both might be willing to do some presenting.
How much time to do you think they might take, respectively?
That could help determine whether we want to have one or both presentations.
Otherwise, we do the next one in June/July.

I have a presentation on D8 Migrate ready to go that I previously presented at DrupalCorn in a 45-minute slot. I could have that spruced up and ready to go if folks are interested.

We at Creighton are in the middle migrating sites from Typo3, WordPress and Drupal 7 to Drupal 8. This would be a very good topic.
I'll put this down as the topic.
