This month, we continued discussing Drupal Relativity and the Paragraphs module. Doug Vann threw down the gauntlet at the November Broward Drupal meetup and he challenged Jay to come up with a way to implement the Paragraphs' module embedding of layout in the main content region. As always, Jay delivered.
Jay came up with the concept of the Custom Layout Page (CLPA). CLPAs let content editors modify layout positions with the power of twig, and allows them to build a masonry layout inside the custom main area. For example, take any piece of content, put it in the main content region and control its layout position, and have the backend output a class that front-end developers consume to control the layout in the main content region. Then, continually add additional pieces of content to the main content region and have them act the same way. And being part of Relativity means that there is not even one line of custom code (i.e. just Drupal Core and a few Contrib modules).
Pretty amazing stuff.
We had two remote users and three in person.
