Drupal Relativity

This month, Jay Epstein (https://twitter.com/jeppy64 https://jay-epstein.com/) talked about "Relativity for DrupalCamps" at the Florida Drupal Virtual Meetup. This presentation is the most recent summary of Drupal Relativity. Jay discussed all of the key concepts of Relativity and gave several examples within the context of creating a website for DrupalCamps. This month, we continued discussing Drupal Relativity and the Paragraphs module. Doug Vann threw down the gauntlet at the November Broward Drupal meetup and he challenged Jay to come up with a way to implement the Paragraphs' module embedding of layout in the main content region. As always, Jay delivered.

This month, we spent most of the meetup discussing Drupal Relativity and the Paragraphs module. Doug Vann has a lot of experience using the Paragraphs module, so he presented different scenarios for using the module and Jay talked about implementing them using the Drupal Relativity module instead.

This month, we continued discussing implementations of Jay Epstein's (https://twitter.com/jeppy64 http://jay-epstein.com/) Relativity model (http://jay-epstein.com/relativity/overview). Now we are focusing on applying what we learned so far to views, theming and maybe even some REST endpoints for headless.

A new group focus for anyone wishing to participate (Jay and Hector included). Here is what we did so far:

1: Created a Pantheon account (for those that didn't already have one)

2: Spun-up a vanilla D8 site

3: Loaded our module recipe

This month, due to Hurricane Irma and DD not having power, we had our first all remote meetup. Jay Epstein (https://twitter.com/jeppy64 http://jay-epstein.com/) reviewed his Relativity Model and discussed our Relativity Event Management Platform that we will be building as a group. More details about this project will be discussed at future meetups.
