Drupal 8.6.10 fresh install with CiviCRM installed. I'm trying to play around with Layout Builder. Decided to apply it to Basic Page content type, but it doesn't seem to be working.
Am I missing something?
Article content type is working as expected. Searched online to figure it out with no luck.
Any suggestions?

What exactly are you saying?
What exactly are you saying? Article w/ layout builder works but when you attempt to turn it on for Basic page it doesn't? If you are familiar with how it should work, what "doesn't seem to be working"?
Do you have "Use Layout Builder" and "Allow each content item to have its layout customized" checked at /admin/structure/types/manage/page/display?
To clarify
I enabled the module according to this article:

When I turn on Layout Builder for the Article content type, everything works as it does in the attached tutorial. However, when I try to do the same for the Basic Page content type, nothing happens. I've even added an image field to the content type and the image does not display.
Yes, I have "Use Layout Builder" and "Allow each content item to have its layout customized" checked for both content types. Only Articles are acting as they should.
As Ryan suggests above, maybe it has to do with CiviCRM. I'm not sure.

I wouldn't think CiviCRM
I wouldn't think CiviCRM would have much to do with it. But I'm not familiar with the application. The important thing to consider is the desired functionality works on a standard Drupal install. I can confirm no issues with basic page and layout builder using 8.6.10-dev.
Try creating a new content type with the Body field. Attempt to enable layout on the content type and see what you experience. Its possible basic page is overriding it somehow.
