Drupal is currently reviewing which student proposals to select for Google Summer of Code 2019. If you're interested in mentoring this is perfect time to review proposals and learn a bit more about projects you might be interested in helping. If not interested in mentoring, but have time to review several interesting project proposals that will end up in Google paying students to write modules for Drupal 8...ping me here or Slack in #drupal-google.
Important to note, if you review proposals, it is required to review all proposals. We have several well written project proposals that require a few hours to review and provide feedback in review spreadsheet. Student projects will officially be announced May 6th and Drupal will have our projects selected internally by May 1st. Timeline provides 2 weeks for community to participate in review. Let's plan to end community feedback and review by Sunday April 28th. Our goal is to select projects we're 99% sure will be a success and pair students with as many mentors as possible.
