Greetings everyone!
I'm pleased to announce the launch of a new Florida Drupal initiative - streaming virtual meet ups!
Let's face it: sometimes, you want to get to your local meet up but "life" gets in the way and you can't attend. Or, you might see an awesome topic being shared somewhere else in the state but it's too far to drive. Or maybe, unfortunately, there isn't a meetup near you and your city.
That's where virtual meet ups come in! Working with the organizers of Florida Drupal Camp (and myself), we are going to start streaming meet ups from various cities throughout the state, every month. The presenter of the meet up will stream directly from his/her computer so that all you have to do is login and watch and learn! Throughout the meeting, you will also be able to interact with the presenter via the #florida Drupal Slack channel (more info) to ask any questions or learn more.
We are still working out the final details for logging in to take part (so stay tuned), but we are excited to get this going and wanted to share with you the first two meetings, which start NEXT MONTH.

Mike’s tips are accessible and suitable for developers, designers, and project managers.

Yes!
Yes, Zoom allows us to record our presentations so we plan on doing that, and then moving them over to the FLDC Youtube channel for later viewing. Please give us a day or so after the meetup to get it up there though :)

great and thanks for doing this! Great idea.
Live
In my opinion that would be nice if its possible to watch the meetups live through Youtube or Instagram. Is it possible?

Sadly no
We are trying to meet everyone where we can, technologically, and while Youtube is good for a lot of things (not familiar with Instagram live streams), it doesn't offer us the same level of control in terms of chat and shared discussion. In addition, there is a lot more involved to setup screen sharing with Youtube and we just want something simple and easy for people to be able to use and get started with.
Great suggestions though!
That's nice. Maybe after some
That's nice. Maybe after some meetups, this suggestion could be considered as an alternative option for viewing meetups, or at least once as trial. Thanks for your efforts.
