Since convening in June this year, the DrupalSouth Steering Committee has focused on a range of potential initiatives to support the regional community in Australia & New Zealand.
An overview of these initiatives is available for review in the Google Doc at https://docs.google.com/document/d/1uuuAwdIsofCJHFmnqGD9kqXMFZnTIUoaPA1q...
At DrupalSouth Hobart, the steering committee will be running a public panel to introduce ourselves (https://drupalsouth.org/committee), provide an overview of the initiatives and receive feedback from the community. This session will run on Friday 29th November at 2pm in the Sassafras room.
We will also be facilitating three Birds of a Feather sessions during the event - times will be listed on the BoF board in the conference foyer on Thursday morning:
-
Drupal Meetup, Camp, Sprint and Training organisers: Discuss what's working well, possible improvements and support the steering committee can provide.
-
DrupalSouth Sponsors: Discuss current sponsorship models and how these might be improved to better serve the community's financial supporters. A pre-event survey (2 minutes to complete) is available here: https://forms.gle/ntJrpXoTVTm2Bc6s6
-
DrupalSouth/DrupalGov Organisers: Insight into what's involved in running an event, best practices, future location proposals, long term goals and support from the steering committee.
These sessions are open to anyone currently engaged or interested in being a Drupal community organiser or supporter.
Feel free to use comments in this thread or private message drupalsouth@gmail.com for any feedback and questions in the meantime.
