The committee had a video call today and is planning to continue doing so biweekly.
These are the topics we covered:
1. DrupalCamp Dublin 2020
We have narrowed down the venue to 3 candidates as decided depending on its cost to rent and how many funds are available from the association balance.
Two committee members (Alan and Gavin) are working on organizing the Camp. The date is yet to be decided.
2. drupal.ie
We are going to have a new http://www.drupal.ie/ website. It is currently just a holding page. Two committee members (David and Ricardo) are working on it and hoping to launch by Easter 2020.
The website is important for community outreach reasons.
3. Meetups
We feel the local meetups are dead. The Dublin monthly meetup was cancelled at least 50% of the time last year so we have decided to let it go for the time being.
We will still be paying the meetup.com fees (currently paid by Freistilbox) for a few months shall the appetite to do meetups strikes again.
4. Signatures
We are in the process of renewing our signatures and decided to better be Dublin based committee members (Franks the treasurer, Ricardo the secretary, Jochen the chairperson).
Ricardo is just about to create the minutes document of when the committee was elected.
Digital accounts won’t take an association.
5. Drupal Ireland Committee biweekly call
The committee is planning to meet twice per month, at 2pm every second Wednesday.
6. Basecamp
We are using Basecamp to keep things in a single place. One single account to have access to it all.
