I've created 2 sites for real estate agencies:
www.lmnieruchomosci.pl - low budget one on drupal 4.7
www.rafalko-nieruchomosci.pl - nicer one on drupal 5.1 - work still in progress
Unfortunately both are in polish, but English version is coming soon.
Generally there are few types of ads, like homes, flats, plots etc.
Each ad has its attributes and advanced ajax gallery of images.
Ads are shown in tables like

showing homes. There is also a search or rather a filter in a left sidebar.

I've been thinking for a long time of creating a classifieds portal, where everybody can put reale estate ads and place them on a google map. Each ad should have dedicated contact form and many more cool features. What I need first is a taxonomy with states, counties and cities, and an intuitive way to choose them and filter.
I'm looking forward for your comments and thoughts. Perhaps we can cooperate and create something cool and sexy.
