real estate site

Hi all!

I'll be building a state-wide real estate site and I don't have any idea how big the data archive for this. Well, I ran a test site, imported MLS listing for one real estate property and it was able to pull a record of more than 100k items. Any advice from the experts of which of the server options should I avail for this project? I appreciate your quick response. ;)

These are my options.

dRealty IRC Chat

The dRealty developers have launched an IRC channel on freenode. Join #drupal-realestate with your irc client, or click here to join with the web client.

For those who don't know, dRealty IDX has recently been under heavy development. It is quickly becoming a very polished solution for tightly integrating RETS MLS with Drupal.

LOOKING TO DEVELOP WEBSITE USING "D-REALTY" MODULE, +RETS SYSTEM

I'M STILL A NOOB, BUT I'M COMING ALONG, I JUST SUBMITTED MY PROPOSAL TO THE LOCAL MLS AND AM AWAITING THE APPROVAL, LOOKING AT THE CAPABILITIES OF DRUPAL, I THINK THAT I CAN PROVIDE THE INFO ABOUT PROPERTIES AND PROPERTIES SEARCHES ECT, IN A BETTER WAY USING DRUPAL THAN WHAT THE MLS OFFERS.... LOOKING TO HOOK UP WITH LIKE MINDED INDIVIDUALS....I'M A REAL ESTATE BROKER, BUT A MAJOR DIY DUDE, SO I THINK I OUGHT TO HAVE AN EDGE AS I LEARN TO DESIGN WITH DRUPAL !

Interactive Real Estate Map

I am new to Drupal and am attempting to create a "Sales & Rentals" section to a small but multi-HOA site I am building. Using CCK I have already created a "Calendar of Events" and "Amenities" sections. I have setup all of the fields for the real estate information and can setup exposed filters in views for Bedrooms, Bathrooms, Etc, my questions is, what should I use for an interactive map?

The map should be limited to my neighborhoods.
I would like to display a house icon on the map wherever a property is active

Sold Properties?

Hey Everyone,

I have a real estate project that I was trying to build in D7, but everything is still too buggy with Locations/Gmap to be in production, so I'm going back to D6.

What I want is a views of only available properties, but a separate view of all sold properties. How would I manage this. A custom field and filter set for each view?

I'm relatively new to Drupal, so sorry for what may be a simple question.

Needing developer for advanced real estate site

Please contact me directly with any related real estate sites or map intensive sites you have completed in Drupal.
I am looking for fairly advanced functionality- something beyond drupalrealestate.com or other "theme" packages.
I need an advanced developer, not someone on their 3rd or 4th site.
No IDX integration needed.

Thanks!
