Hi all,
I've just joined the group as I launched a new social networking site a couple of weeks ago. I'm new to Drupal, only been using it for a month or so - my background is in wordpress and zen cart module and site development. But I thought I'd give Drupal a go on this new site.
Drupal's a great CMS even though there is a steep learning curve and little documentation. What I'd like to know is how have some other developers of social networking sites ave itegratd member phot's into their profiles. I've just done a very basic integration using cck and views but I want to present the photo's a little better.
I'm not looking for anything too powerful so I don't need something like gallery module. I just want my site members to beable to upload may be a dozen photo's.
thanks and hello to everyone again.
Kevin

Hi Shyamal
thanks for the useful resources - I've used your suggestion of lightbox2 to display member photo's as it looks better than going to a node from te thumbnail.
I've used cck and views as the basis for the member galleries as I'm working my way through the book Using Drupal at the moment. Pretty good resource for those new to Drupal.
