As promised in another thread, here's the "please reply here" thread on the May 2010 meeting:
- What's your preferred day of the week & time? (e.g.: thursday @ 7pm; saturday mornings)
- Where would you attend a meeting? (a) Buffalo, (b) Rochester, and/or (c) somewhere in between

hacker spaces
Hey all - I emailed with Ben at the Buffalo Hacker Space and they're open to letting us hold any Buffalo-based meetings there. I'll be talking to him more at the Buffalo PHP Meetup there on Tue 13 Apr 2010.
Does anybody here belong to Interlock in Rochester? If not, do you know somebody who is?
additional venues?
Anybody here with a college that would be willing to embrace a small user group meeting? I'm shooting for a location that's easy to get into & navigate which the Buffalo Hacker Space isn't always. Any other ideas??

Do you think something like Tuesday 18 May @ 7pm would work? That's sort of where the dart landed when weighing Buff+Roch folks' preferences. If so, I think we can get a pretty good turnout between in-person and online folks (I'm more headway on that side of things, too - provided we can get online at your location).
A couple of other folks have presented venues between Buff and Roch, but your suggestion is the first with relatively open (and easy) access at the time of day fewest people objected to (weekday evenings). Trying to be inclusive is hard. I hope it's worth it, which we I guess we can judge by the physical+virtual turnouts.

little update
I spoke to Joe yesterday and he's trying to arrange a room for the above date/time, Tue 18 May 2010 @ 7pm, at Medaille. Once he gets back to me for sure, I'll cross-post in a new thread. Thanks to everyone for their input!
