DrupalCamp Ottawa?

Way back in October it was discussed that the Ottawa group would be interested in hosting a DrupalCamp sometime around June. Has there been any talk of this lately? Is there anything Montreal can do to help you guys get one underway?

A couple of us were talking about it, but we both got involved in another conference in Windsor, so lost the momentum (such as it was). Are you guys doing one this Fall?

I'd say we likely will, although I wouldn't expect any planning to start until late August or so. I'd say we'll be able to reuse the website we have, which was borrowed from LA's DrupalCamp. The biggest issue for us will be finding an appropriately sized venue for cheap. We got really lucky the last two years.

Hello all. The CCS department here at McGill is willing to offer the same level of support that we provided for last year's camp. If it's acceptable to the community, we can endeavour to find a suitable venue here on campus to host this year's camp. Drupalcamp 2009 was an invaluable experience for those who attended from McGill IT.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a Drupal course for beginners in the Ottawa area? I have checked the Ottawa college and University calendars but haven't come across anything.

Suzanne from evolvingweb.ca comes to Ottawa a couple of times a year to put on mini-training courses, like Drupal in a Day.
