Timing . . .
What kind of time frame are we talking about?
I'm open to suggestions, but
I'm open to suggestions, but I was thinking like 6-8pm? 7-9? something like that.. I think if we can just get something going and then plan to do it every couple of weeks it will start to take off. I'm just trying to get the ball rolling, ya know?
oh and by the way I'm just suggesting we do it at my place to start - if everyone decided it would be better to do it at another place after we got it started that would be fine as well... whatever works for the most people.
Schedule conflict . . .
I just realized that I'm leaving town Friday morning and probably shouldn't be planning anything for that Wednesday, as I'll need that time to prepare. The time and location are good for me. I would probably want to start closer to 6 so I can get home at a reasonable time.

would Tuesday work better for you? I'm flexible. Elizabeth is my girlfriend and business partner, by the way, so we're both on roughly the same schedules. If we can get 4 or 5 people total that would be great.
Not that day . . .
Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays are bad for me as I have other standing appointments those days. Normally, Wednesdays are probably the best days, just not that week. :^) Maybe if others agree to get together that day, I'll just miss this first meeting and catch the next.

Let's see what else the list says but I have no problem waiting until the next week, but that day is Halloween and a lot of people in Las Vegas do stuff so I'm not sure how that will go. Let's let some other people weigh in and we'll see what looks like it would be best.

I didn't even look at what day the following week held. I just knew I wasn't going out of town the following weekend. I will be doing something that day also -- meeting with friends at Chuck E Cheese. Oye. I've got too much going on. :^)

Cool!, what is this meeting
Cool!, what is this meeting going to be about? general drupal stuff? I think it is a good idea just to get a routine going and we can all help each other with out respective projects, or collaborate.
I will be in touch next week and we can work out the details, like where this is going to take place.

yeah that's the main thing is we need to sort of have an agenda so we don't just sit around not accomplishing anything :P I am so completely new to Drupal I don't know how much I can share, but I am starting my first Drupal theme project this week so I can I guess share what I am doing.. everyone else could do the same.. what they are working on.. If you have a laptop you can bring I have wifi here and everything, of course.. my table expands quite a bit and I have extra chairs so we should all be comfortable.

On the road
Normally, the Wed meeting would be fine for me. However, I am in the middle of a road trip. In Denver now. Back to Vegas late Wed (Oct 24), then off to LA from Friday through Sunday. I don't usually travel so much, so going forward I can make just about anything work with enough notice.

I think that since we only have 3 people for tomorrow (including myself and my girlfriend) and a couple of others are interested in coming next week or thereafter, I'm going to scratch the meeting for tomorrow. I'm going to make an event for two weeks from tomorrow on here and we'll just stick with that. Hopefully the time will give us a chance to pick up a couple of more people. I'd do it next week but that's Halloween and a lot of people here do stuff that night, so that's a no-go. So Wednesday, November 7th it is!
