To bring together Drupal people in Las Vegas in order to create a connected, cohesive community in which we can: learn & grow, build the local community, raise an awareness in the greater community about the local people & their talents, connect with each other, personally & professionally, and promote our businesses.
We are preparing an English version of Forcontu's Drupal training program and we are looking for bilingual English/Spanish people interested in translating (from Spanish to English) part of the materials. In exchange you'll receive free online training (7 months & 420 certificated hours, valued at USD$ 1500) to become an Expert in Drupal 7. You can also give this training opportunity to another person of your choice (maybe a friend, employee or client).
If you are interested or know somebody that could be, please fill in or share the form to contact us. More information at this URL: http://www.forcontu.com/bilingual-volunteersRead more
Training day at GLADCamp 2014, this year's Greater Los Angeles Drupal Camp, is on March 7th, 2014. We have room at our conference venue for 3 simultaneous trainings and are starting our call for trainings! Everyone is welcome to apply:
Space is limited and priority is given to experienced Drupal trainers and training companies. Don't let that discourage you, though. If you're a newcomer to the Drupal training scene and want to offer something no one has offered before, we'd love to hear from you!Read more

SANDcamp 2014 is live for business. Thanks to Jason Savino for making the website work this year with some new twists and Rich Yumul for importing data from the old site. We have six weeks to generate some social media noise and get SANDcamp rocking.
We have great keynote speakers: Jeff Beeman and Josh Koenig. Jeff is the solutions architect for 8-figure Drupal projects and Josh is, well Josh (Co-Founder of Chapter 3 and Pantheon).Read more

During August 11-14 of 2013, Las Vegas will be hosting SXSW V2V, for the first time. Las Vegas Startups has more details. Probably many techies will be in town for that event, which will run Sunday through Wednesday. Hence, the Friday and Saturday just before it might be the ideal time to have the first Las Vegas DrupalCamp?!
So here is the issue at hand. First I have never had to make drupal translate content or show specific content based on the visitors country, region, state or province so I have no idea what I am doing to be honest, with guidance I will learn it very quickly and have it figured out.
The website is already established and live...Yes I know it's easier to do what needs to be done in the beginning before anything else but this was just now laid on my plate.Read more

It is a good follow up to Joseph and my presentations at the last meeting about Drupal 8 and what we can do to help get it out the door.
Open invitation to our neighboring states.
