Hello All,

Have been developing a payment module for old V3 , came to a stop becuase of need to make a deposit/ wallet solution. Then Gordon suggested to use V4 for the Job.

Now I break my head to find answers about the new stuff exist in v4 , such as ec_receipt instead of payment , allocation , prodcut features and such. I have also read that the new system allow transaction or use of receipt for one time payment instead of the shoping cart or better yet independent of the shoping cart.

I have no clue where to start and after doing alot of searches with no answer I am posting this.

what are allocation types and how do I create them ?

How do I use ec_customer to track balance of customer , i.e. customer but credits with credit card , and then can use the credits to buy gifts for himself or others , or use the credits for other actitivities on the site for example each post cost X credits , each reply reward Y credits.

If some one can please just point me to the direction of where to begin.

thanks in advance ,
Yosi.

Same Problem

Hi,

I am in the process of developing a PayFlow Pro payment gateway for the e-Commerce v4 (tried emailing the payment_payflow_pro project owner with no luck). I basically copied the authorize.net module and began making modifications. I am at the point that I need to test it but I can't figure out how to work with the checkout process in v4. Anyone who knows what allocation types are or how to create them, please help. A very basic how-to for setting up v4 would greatly help.

Thanks,

Jon Antoine

Coding a new Payment Gateway

Same problem as above. Which of the gateways currently implemented would be the best reference of how to do a payment gateway that does not go off to a separate site, but processes the card payment by calling an API?

regards
Charles
