Chatblock Module - Any Work Being Done?

Events happening in the community are now at Drupal community events on www.drupal.org.

I recently installed the chatblock module on my site, but it does not automatically refresh when you hit submit, and you have to refresh the browser to show updates. Is this being worked on at all, or is there going to be another way to implement a small, ajax-based shoutbox-style chatblock on my site?

Hi there,

I'm the maintainer of that project and I can assure you that no work is being done on it. This is because of a few reasons:

  1. I'm currently working full time as a teacher AND working full time writing a textbook.
  2. I keep running into roadblocks whenever I get a chance to try and debug my module.
  3. I'm searching for a co-maintainer to help me fix the bugs with the module.

I've made some major improvements in the Chatblock module. It might actually work now. Test it out for me and let me know how it goes. I got tired of 14 open issues. :P
