We’re less than three weeks away from New England GiveCamp (http://newenglandgivecamp.org), where over two dozen non-profit organizations and scores of area developers, designers, DBAs, and other professionals will get together for a weekend of coding to provide websites, CMSes, and other solutions for the charities. The event will be at the New England R&D Center (aka NERD) in Cambridge from Friday through Sunday, with overnight accommodations and all meals provided plus a few cool giveaways to cap it off.
WE NEED YOU – volunteer at http://newenglandgivecamp.eventbrite.com ! This is a great opportunity to apply your passion to organizations that can truly benefit from your experience, and it’s a great chance to hang out with like-minded technologists. Projects range from domestic violence shelters, to health-care providers for the homeless, to libraries, to a transitional shelter for substance abusers, to community youth organizations, to even a guinea pig rescue service. Technologies span WordPress, Drupal, Django, Access, .NET, and others – whatever your background there’s a place for you!
