Limit message size and textarea maxlength

Is there any way set the maxlength property of the textarea so that users can't send more than the 160 character SMS limit? thanks.

Thanks for the pointer. This looks great for regular content types, but the SMS Blast doesn't show up in the content type list . Where do I set the maxlength for an SMS Blast? I've looked in all the settings and can't find it.

(and yes, I've enabled the module)
