My name is Andrew. I have been interested in internationalization since 2001 when I started handling the internationalization of IBM's software customer support website. At IBM I was in charge of both writing properly internationalized code in Java and Perl, as well as managing the localization project by interfacing with our translation team, so I've been exposed to the whole process from end to end. I'm especially interested in the CJKV locales, and of those my primary interest is Japanese. I'd like to help out the internationalization project if possible. In the past I've worked with the internationalization frameworks in Perl and Java, as well as IBM's ICU toolkit. I also wrote a message bundle format that used XML and XSLT. (Nice in theory, but not so nice in practice.) Please let me know if there is anything that needs to be looked at or worked on. I'm fairly new to Drupal, having just started working with it in August, but I'm a quick study.
