Attention Drupalists of the Pacific Northwest and beyond! We know you have brilliant ideas, in-depth knowledge, wonderful experiences, and tried and true lessons you would like to share with the Drupal community. This is your chance! Today we are inviting you to submit your session proposals.

Presentations should be 50 minutes in length. There will be special “training workshop” held prior to the Summit which will cover introductory sessions in Drupal. As such, we are looking for sessions that are “beyond introductory”.
There will be four session tracks:
* Developer
* Design & Theme
* Site Architecture & Administration
* Business & Project Management
Session proposals are due by August 6th. We will be responding to the proposals at the start of August and will publish the Session Schedule shortly afterwards.
Please also note that the site is open for registration.... there is some great swag this year!

Campaign to push this deadline back
I'm starting this conversation here to push this deadline back to the end of next week. As far as I know, Portland has just barely thought about this, as we've just pulled out of OSCON + Redesign sprints, and we have a meetup next week.
I'm happy to campaign for more Portland submissions, but I'm pretty that we can't pull anything together before next week.

I say this as an attendee only, and not someone whose scheduling relies upon submissions being in by a certain date, but if it can be pushed back a little, I think that's important.
The value of the shared PNW Drupal community really does rely upon us all being able to participate in this sort of thing. Amye, can you guarantee submissions? That'd make it a deadline extension a much easier sell, I think.

We completely agree!
Summer has been a busy time for us Drupalites with development projects, OSCON, Drupal clinics and other fun activities so we have extended the submission deadline for sessions until Monday August 16th!
This gives two full weekends to plan your show stopper presentation.
Remember, all we need to start is a paragraph on what you want to present. Slide decks and presentation prep comes later.
